Background on the story of the month of March 2011 entitled: "Once upon a time ..... Sellia"
B reve on the novel premise that will keep us company during the month of March entitled Once Upon a Time ... ... in Sella. Once again in this story (set in Sellia as usual) the elderly play an important role as the guardians of many events, many stories that never end up in some book. Think about 'the importance of listening, collecting many stories, stories about our age-old village, being very stingy with written historical artifacts. Over the centuries the few rich men who had studied or could write, so processing of the reports on the life, customs, various events on saddles, but nothing has come down to us either because perhaps no one has ever thought of writing a book, or because the various natural disasters that have afflicted and not frequently painstaking about our country, any books were completely lost. Here is the historical memory of the elderly is of a key role in rediscovering many details, mending the historic route that many pieces missing. An example: I pick 70 years transcribing some stories about the big 1943, some elderly people who had from 70 to 80 years, so they were born in the early 1900s or even the end of 1800 very well remember that ugly episode. If the same question we do today to various older they will remember much less sharp or speak from hearsay at the time had about 10 years. So it becomes important to see how the historical memory of the elderly, not having a time machine that takes us back, and the various books are very few.
